mail art - "island to island"

I've been doing some mail art today which will hopefully go off in the mail tomorrow. I found a site with lots of calls for art all in one spot and there's several I want to do. This is for one with the theme "Are you living on an island?" I'm pretty sure this was meant in a literal sense, but it just spoke to me so much in a metaphorical sense that I had to make this drawing. My home is like an island in the midst of more and more suburban development and sometimes I worry about what will happen to the land in the future. But for now it's a little sanctuary for me.
